Effects of Fully Relativistic Condition on Electron Cyclotron Maser Emission

Abstract The electron cyclotron maser (ECM) instability is a very important nonthermal radiation mechanism. It has been developed by proposing various distribution functions as well the relativistic resonance condition, called semirelativistic correction. Taking account of effects both velocity energetic electrons and fully correction, present paper investigates ECM driven power-law with low-energy cutoff. results show that (1) in cases, growth rate relative frequency bandwidth ordinary ( O ) extraordinary X modes positive correlation cutoff energy E c , i.e., peak decreases increasing ; (2) ratio H / F harmonic fundamental waves always ∼2; (3) compared case, case larger (for mode) smaller (only for > 50 keV, there almost no difference at lower two cases; (4) X1 mode can be higher than its strongly magnetized plasma, implying emission may escape more easily stronger magnetic field. These helpful us to understand better physics radio bursts from Sun other objects.
